Unfortunately it's not just the size of wake and erosion that has prompted this.

There has been conflict amongst all those that use the loch. Fishermen hate wakeboarders and cabin crusiers due to the wake, ramblers hate everybody and everybody hates jet skiers!

My view is that your registration is supplied ONLY once you have passed some form of proficiency test. When you learn to sail, you also learn the rules of the water, etiquette and so on. Unfortunately all too many go out and buy boats and jet skis and run around in them having left their brains on the shore. This, I feel, is where the problems are and needs to be addressed. I can guarantee the byelaws will become more stringent at the very least, those who flaunt or ignore them only make it easier for a ban to be enforced down the line .

It would be good to get arguments up on this site, play devils advocate as well....
