Just a few notes now we've published the poll results. Basically 'Pro' rider means riders that compete in UK sanctioned events. As mentioned before hardly any riders in the UK are full time professionals, there simply isn't enough money in the sport to fund a large number of riders.
Voting wise consider the poll a websurfer's poll as we allowed anyone to vote, restricting their votes to one each. In future polls we might restrict it to say WUK members only or similar.... so the results on the poll reflect an online popularity plus also the online presence of a particular rider - so good incentive to get your myspace or facebook profile popular if you're a rider.
As this was the first poll we'll endeavour to improve as we get the hang of what works online and what doesn't eg: who is in the poll, how we stop multi votes, how to arrange the details on the webpage.
