Um.. ya $10,000 won't usually get you a nautique, or a mastercraft. An older supra maybe. But personally i learned to ride on a Hyperlite Parks and it didn't slow me down one bit. So like the other guy said try out a lot of boards and pick which one is right for you.

And as for the boat if the wake sucks behind it you can buy Fat Sacks or some other type of weight system to make your wake bigger.
