at all on kickers??? I saw a board go out from the cellophane, have the bindings bolted on, then go over a large kicker, landed, resulting in two smaller boards.
And that was last week (LF Witness as it happens).
Everyone has stories of boards that break, every different shop will have their own prejudice (usualy for sales reasons) that often filters through to staff in & around the area.
Bottom line? You're going to jump 3- 15 feet or more in the air, with or without the help of a ramp, and land on a piece of foam, probably at a funny angle, at speed.
And people get surprised when the board, the bindings or their ankles break?!
Everyone has an opinon about Ron1x too, because they're relatively new. Take Chad Sharpe's new board- strong enough that he filed down the moulded fins himself (inconsistently he said) and drilled it himself to bolt in removable ones. Pre-production it may be but it still takes that kind of alteration, and he still stamps those landings.... I would attach pics but they're 10 times the size allowed, bear with me & i'll try and save them as something smaller!
