Anyone up for answering my very rookieish question but it will make u look good...!

Basically Ive seen in the shops all of your standard wakeboard bindings in mixed prices and makes etc, but then there are these other ones which only go up to around ur ankles and are alot smaller than the standard ones.
What are these and wot r they for? R they just to be cheap or is it for like slalom or summink?
