My opinion for what its worth is if you are a beginner dont go for an advanced board, and i know this flies in the face of other riders.
The reason being most advanced boards are very stiff and they generally like being ridden on an edge. As a rookie you will start learning how to edge but you don't want hard falls. I would recommend intermediate boards as they can be a lot more forgiving, especially something that doesn't have hard rails.
after a season you will want to change your board any way when you are starting out and something too advanced will not help your confidence when you are dialling in a few basics. Catch a few heel edges and you will know what i mean.
Any way as long as you get into wakeboarding you can't go wrong :-)
All the best
