Out of curiosity, do you know how the "powers that be" intend to enforce the ban once it takes effect? Will the lake be "policed" and, if so, by whom?
In addition, I don't know whether Article 14 of the new Human Rights Act legislation may have some relevance here - ie. prohibition of discrimination.
"The enjoyment of the rights and freedoms set forth in this Convention shall be secured without discrimination on any ground"
After all, we could be classed as a "minority group" and, as such, we are being directly discriminated against.
I'm not totally clued up about this sort of thing but I'm sure it could be an extremely powerfull tool to add a bit of gentle persuasion.
I am still fairly new to this sport but this sort of autocratic behaviour by the powers that be disgusts me. Out of curiosity, do you know whether the Sports Council, the BWSF or any other governing body are doing much (if anything) to help our cause?
Smudge
