Default What happened?

So you are probably wondering what happened to Wakeboard.com over the weekend...

The short version whilst I repair all the damage is that we were targeted by a hacking group on Friday morning and suffered a security breach on our webserver.

Although we had backups of the data restoring safely after being hacked takes time so we've been down all weekend.

Please may I ask all users to change their passwords immediately on the offchance that the hackers decided to decrypt our database, unlikely but possible.

Finally, I'm not going to comment on who and why vandalised our server, just know it's the first time in nearly 10 years of Linux based hosting that we've had such a major problem... bugger. More when I get all the sites back up and running.

Yeah... really sorry it took so long, we had to remove the server, totally rebuild the OS, restore the backups blah blah de blah....

At least the daily backup system worked, now having the mother of tidy ups on the server to reduce the chances of it happening again.

Somehow during this weekend I also managed to get my RYA Level 2 powerboat! had an exciting time on the Bristol Channel in a rib, great fun.

If I hadn't been waiting for the course for months I would have got the web sites done instead but I decided to get the skills I need for going boarding round here

I'm off to bed so will get the rest of the site online tomorrow, assuming the Cous Cous crew don't have a go at me again

The Cous Cous Incident continued:

The rest of the website is now being restored, should have it up and running this afternoon. If there are any duff links in the next few days please let me know and I'll sort them asap.
