I have a 1999 Moomba Outback LS and I was wondering what is the best way to weigh down my boat for the biggest wake. Right now I have 4 side sacs (250 lbs. each) one on each side of the engine and one under each of the front seats. I have moved the sacs around and still haven't found a big wake so I think I just need more weight. If any one has any suggestions please post it.

We ride behind a 2002 ski Nautique and with no ballast the wake is very small behind that. We didn't really find any noticable difference until we'd added over 1000lbs so i would imagine its the same story in yours we now have just short of 2000lbs of ballast, 600 in rear locker and 600 each side of the engine, i'v ebeen told by professionals that this still isnt enough for the hull on our boat is designed more for skiing. so If i were you I'd just keep adding the lbs and try not to sink it!!
HAving jsut typed this a boat dealer friend has jsut called me and told me that for your hull you will need another 1000lbs to make it a decent wake but it will take up to another 1500 lbs |
