Default BOAT STOLEN IN UK !!!!!

To all UK-based contributors to this site...

At approximately 8 a.m. today (27th September 2004) my MasterCraft 205 was stolen from my home near Littlehampton, West Sussex. The boat is very distinctive. It has a two tone hull, blue upper half and pale grey lower half with a pink stripe. Not only is it an open bow boat but has a number of unique features. Most significantly it is fitted with a WakeDesigns Tower with Tige logos on the stiffener plates between the front and rear sections.

If still attached, it has a grey, 2-piece cover - one for the bow section and one for the cockpit. This cover has been modified and has a bright blue insert fitted that follows the line of the top of the windscreen and two similar blue strips in the rear corners.

The ski platform and lighting bar will be missing as they were not fitted at the time of the theft.

If anyone sees this boat or hears of it for sale, please pm me immediately.

Real sorry to hear that Mr. Bean just hope your insurance was up to date and all encompassing.
As you say the boat is quite distinctive and hopefully someone will recognize it when it turns up again, although it could be in a container heading out of the UK right now.

My concern too. We contacted all the ferry companies in case someone tried to trailer it out but if it's in a container......

Given that' it's a '94 model and the value is comparatively modest, seems like a strange choice to make. If going to those lengths I'd have thought it would have made more sense to steal a more up-to-date boat.

I had similar thoughts following your e-mail today..

Boat thefts for order are genreally on newer boats.. seems a very odd choice, unless the theif new very little about boats.. which wouldn't be a surprise

Anyway, I'll keep ym eyes peeled

Living at the coast it's possible someone stole it with really knowing what it is, other than thinking it's a "speed boat". It could end up in a marina or harbour anywhere along the south coast.

Mr Bean,

B*st**ds! That's really crap news. If you want to post a message on the Wakeboard UK website drop me a reply and upload a photo to http://photos.wakeboard.com (use your forum login). We might not get it back but we can at least make it tricky for them to use it in the UK.
