What about these re-fillable one's on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RPi-LPG-Gas-cy...QQcmdZViewItem

It says you can fill them from a normal petrol station pump at the same time as we fill our boat. Then use a transfer pump later on to move it to the main boat tank, but they only seem to be 28L so that is a bit small but would give an extra 5 sets.

cheers

Thats a very expensive way of doing it.

I would guess connect to the bottle first but don't open the valve on the bottle and then connect to the boat, open the valve and start pumping.
I have never seen one of these pumps but would imagine they have a one way valve in so you can only pump the liquid 1 way, which would prevent it spaying everywhere if you did connect to the boat first.

ps. The engine is a indmar 351 v8, has had 2 brand new heads fitted just before winter, so have not ran them yet.
Have now taken the boat out twice this year since the new heads have been fitted and am now using a lot less LPG fuel!!

We had 4 sets last week and used 22L and 4 very long sets this week and used 26L. Last year we used to use 32 litre for 4 sets so the engine is now running 50% more efficianlly!
