Default Sea ray 200 select

Anyone ridden behind one?

I pick mine up in May, looking forward to it, just wondering what the wake is really like. Havent had chance to ride behind one before, but done a lot of research and it looks acceptable. Not up to dedicated wakeboat standards I expect, but hopefully fine for my decidedly average riding.

I didnt go for a wakeboat as I needed something to use on the sea , and something that could take a geniune 50/50 mix of wakeboarding and cruising around the coast of majorca.

I used to have a 190 and it was a good boat to board behind

However I would recomend you get perfect pass for it - check if you supplier can fit it or import your own system. - just check the trailer is compatible with where the paddle wheel underneath goes.

With perfect pass you will be able to optimise the wake with the use of the trim control and weight whilst not having to worry about the speed.
If you do this I think you will have a perfect solution for you wakeboarding needs where you plan to use the boat.

enjoy .................

From what I have read the 200 make a very good multiuse boat. Its a nice size and the wake is pretty good if you trim the engine and use some ballast. It will also be ideal for some coastal cruising.

I think you can have perfectpass factory installed on bayliners now so deffo get it. With that and a tower you'll be all set.

Perfect pass was a factory option (about £1000 extra I think), but I decided against it as I've never had a problem controlling speed in the past on sterndrive boats, although in hind sight I may find it useful for when less experienced drivers are in control. I'll see how it goes and retro fit one if really necesary, might try a high five prop first if it proves a pain in the arse.

It'll be moored in the water for 90% of the year, so no problems with a trailer, although that may bring with it additional problems in the form of corrosion and osmosis, but I hope to avoid these by having a strict maintenance routine.
