They are well worth the money, especially if you have to trailer for 30mins or so before you reach the water as its warm hubs hitting cool water that sucks the water in and does the damage.
They are a different design to the conventional bearing buddies as most rely on a spring to keep constant pressure on the grease pack and thus preventing water ingress but as long as the pressue relief valve isn't blocked they should work just as good.
Don't expect these to do away with the yearly bearing strip down, clean and repack though. You'll still need to do that so you can inspect the bearings.
