Supra TS6M Comp

I'm looking at buying a 1987 Supra TS6M Comp. The boat is in great condition but it has some tranny problems. They are asking $2000 for the boat. I think I can get the tranny fixed for around $700 at the most. Is this still a good buy? Thanks.

I have a '90 TS6m Comp and I love it! I would say that it would be a great buy - especially if the boat is in good cosmetic condition.
