Default A question...please help!

Hi I am new to this sport. And I have a question. We have a '86 Deck Boat. Kinda Stupid I know. But is it possible that I will be able to board behind it. And if I can is it also possible that I can put a monkey bar or pylon in it. Please help.

you could wakeboard behind a sailboat if you tried hard enough.
boat manufacturers design boats for specific applications, like fishing, cruising, sailing etc. a wakeboard specific boat design provides the best platform towards acheiving an optimal wake. the designers main concern is the form of the wake, not if its good to sleep or fish off of. your deck boat is somewhat of a hybrid, combining comforts of a good ride, a head, ease of getting in and out of the water, and room for several people. It has a tow hook for dragging the family around and having fun. Will it tow a wakeboard?...yes. Does it have a decent wake?.. maybe. Can you put a tower or pylon to make the wakeboard experience better?... sure. Will you have the best wake in the world with a deck boat?...no, but its better than nothing at all. I have ridden behind wake boats, ski boats, jet skis, deck boats, you name it.
You have to crawl before you can walk.

wakerider, I know several deckboats that will school a wakeboard boat anyday! Wakeboard boats are good for one thing...boarding. Other than that they are pretty boring. If you like speed, hanging out and wakeboarding there are plenty of other boats, including deckboats that will fit the need. You can mount a pole to anything if you need to.
