I have just imported some Audio Formz tower speakers from the USA. They use Polk 6.5" speakers in a thick strong fibre glass housing (u can choose the colour as well). They were $350 and sound great. The same speakers in a Stainless steel case were $600.

I spent along time looking for tower speakers in the UK but came to the conclusion that importing was the only way especially with the $ rate.

I have also just bought the Boss marine amp (1000w) off ebay and fitted it. Now to my untrained ear it sounds as good as any system Ive heard in a car or boat (Its very loud and clear what more can I ask for). I sure their are better amps out their and the audio geeks will tut at me using Boss but hey Ive got a load of money left in my pocket and a stereo that the majority of the population would think sounds great!!

Jay defo give mike a hola for some tower speakers. Drop my name and he may bung you some freebie cables or something (mike, hook him up, he is part of the B'sea massive)

My advice would be a head unit with ipod/aux input. Pair of tower speakers, 4 channel amp, 10/12" sub and 4 x 6.5" speakers for in the boat.

If your savy it can be done on your budget, just.

Oh and my ipod still works after drinking lots of salty water. The connectors are corroded and so is the case but it still functions.

Haha, Jay he did; even ordered... then cancelled it 10 mins later! I'm afraid someone has either undercut me or sold him some Boss on the pretence that it'll work... hehe.

Only Kidding JayJames.. go with whatever works for you. Give me a holla if you need anything

Mike
