Default Tower Lights

Does anyone have an opinion on the tower lights in the link below.

I am considering get a set for my boat but £190 seems alot for 5 lights. How bright are they? How far back / forward do they allow you to see.

Would I be better looking to import some??

eBay.co.uk: Wakeboard Tower Light Bar + 5 x Lights! Mastercraft. (item 140088013146 end time 21-Mar-07 19:46:06 GMT)

£190 for a ready made bolt on system looks quite good value to me. Remember that there is no wiring kit so you need to budget some 10 guage wire, switches and relays in for it.

Do't expect enough light to ride though. It will just be for looks, loading/unloading the boat and gear after dark.

Please remember.. this is raw polished aluminium - hence will rot in the salt. It is made strictly for fresh water use (and lots and lots of polish!).

The reason products like the Monster 4-Light Bar are more expensive (£350.00) is simply because they use only stainless steel bolts/hardware and all aluminium is anodised - this isn't cheap but it is needed if you want the stuff to last - Wiring is also included in this. The Monster Bar is a no maintenance, long lasting solution - but at a price.

If you are looking for minimum spend and lots of lights give me a holla Re: Monster Beam lights - I'll do you 4 lights for £200.00 delivered to your door with a 5 year warranty and they'll match your current kit

I'm getting a lot of hassle over these cheaper chinese imports right now and it becoming a real problem in our industry - I fully realise that people want to keep costs down but this product is falling short of any kind of quality mark - I should know.. I was fooled into buying a load of it! Half of which ended up in the skip after our product testing

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in

Thanks for the info Mike and the offer.

At the moment I prefer the idea of a light bar, I like the Monster one on your site. Guess I will have to save a few more penny's. Will the Monster bar fit on the T1 tower happily?

No doubt I will be in touch.

Dave

It will indeed

If it helps I also have some LoudLiquid Light Bars in... including an ex-demo... I can cut a deal on it and you'll have the exact bar for your tower then

Let me know if you are interested and I'll investigate it... think its all perfect bar a blown bulb (which I will of course correct). I can give it a polish for you and get it out within a few days

Cheers,

Mike
