Default Is my service guy ripping me off??

Hey, Im new to the whole boating world and I needed some advice.
I have a Supra Launch 22ssv and I needed to get it detailed and I also wanted to see about getting a second battery installed. So I called the marine service dept in town. They said the would be busy till next week and that I should bring it back then. I asked when would be the best time? He says Tuesday.

Week 2, Tuesday is here. I meet with the service dept manager and he takes a once over of the boat and says "600 for the detailing and about 400 for the battery," "but I cant take ya till next week."
I tell him that I just talked to him a week ago and he said he could take it tuesday.
He asks me my last name and I tell him. He sits there acting like he is thinking hard and says "Oh yea... ]repeats my last name[ I remember you. We can take it now."
I had never told him my last name.
jackass

So what do you think.... is this guy really not want my buisness or is this a fare price? There are no other marine detailers around my area.
Anyone get a boat detailed lately?
thanks

EDIT: I forgot to mention, this is a large boat dealership. I didnot buy my boat from them.

Hmm to what level is their detailing? and how grubby is the boat? Seems steep to me.

and $400 bucks for a duel battery setup?! If using Yellow Top Optima batteries and installing solenoid split charging.. I guess they could justify the price. I'd advise you do it yourself if you can. A split charge kit is about 80 bucks, battery about 150 bucks. depends what your time if worth to you I guess. 400 isn't a terrible price but by no means is it a tight price.

just my 2 cents
