Default Parts for bayliner

Does anybody out there have any idea where I can source a new rev counter for my 2005 bayliner 175xt. I have looked on the internet but I must be missing something and has anybody used the fat sacks in this type of boat and does it make any difference to the wake...
newbie from devon.

Try your nearest dealer first. They "should" be able to source an exact replacement on such a new boat. I think they use Faria dials as standard.
For a cheaper replacement any automotive rev counter with the ability to run on a 4 cyl engine will work.

Its also a great opurtunity to fit perfect pass. Its kind of like getting £100 off as thats about what a new tachometer will cost you and PP will give you superb speed control and a new tachometer!

Yes fat sacs will improve the wake. But if you have the 3ltr mercruiser the engine will have to work very hard if you put alot of weight in, also your fuel consumption will rocket, but it will be worth it!!. Just dont overload it.

I have the same boat. If you put it in the bow (600lbs) and have 2 heavy people on the 2 seats either side of the engine then it should be quite nice. Make sure you are trimmed right down when starting, then once on the plane trim up to about a 1/4 and it should give it some shape.

yeah PP can be fitted to our boats, I cant justify spending that much on it though. I know it will be worth it, but a Hi5 prop would sort me out. Im not sure where you could get it installed, you can do it yourself and save on the labour costs?
