I'd be suprised if you could get it off in the water, we hit a log 2 weeks ago and with the boat out of the water we could not get it to budge, we just bend the blade straight again with a large spanner and its now OK till i get a prop puller.

Cheers

Ive seen a small slip on BoatLaunch that you can use on high tide, not far from you on the River Avon...
only prob is its a private slip and belongs to Shirehampton Sailing Club... If you get stuck it may be worth a shout... or they may laugh at you like uskmouth sailing club did at me whem I asked them to use their slip for a fee and then laughed even more when I sugguested joining with my boat.. lol

you could drive the boat down the river and pull it out in bristol docks, we launch out boat there every spring for a test run before the session starts, its about £9 to use the slip.

Cheers for the suggestions... I think attempting a prop removal in the water is out so I'll either stump up to get the boat lifted or find a nice local slip.

£9 quid is about 1/10th of the lifting fee and would leave me more money to spend on repairs Maybe a series on 'Fix my Bob' would be more appropriate than 'Pimp my Bob'

Or if your feeling rich TV Ski has some of those floating bearth things for sale, they will lift your boat like 3 feet out the water ;-), good for keeping the boat bottom nice and clean too.

cheers
