Turbo,

When you launch on the slipway at Beachley is there somewhere to park your car and trailer? Also, is there anywhere you can wait out the tide on the Wye? ... like a nice pub with a jetty ;-) I didn't notice one when we went past the other day but thought you might know one.

There is a car park right at the top of the slip by S.A.R.A rescue station, unless its really busy you wont have to unhitch to park there... Theres a pub in chepstow called the Boat Inn and a jetty in front thats run by Chepstow Boat Club... I never used the jetty for more that pickups and dropoffs and chuck a pound in thier donations box... They got some info on using the Wye and their jetty on their website... The prob is that for the few hours the jetty is floating is when the river is at its best so we always up there by then...!

Dave,

Great to finally meet you and your crew today... always good to put a face to a login! Next time we meet up I'll make sure the beers are chilled properly ;-)
