Just found a company who will CE mark for £1250 + VAT

The main changes are

Reduction in maximum number of persons allowed to be carried (Crew Limit)
Extra manually operated or portable bilge pump
Fire extinguishers
Fuel filler inscription changed from Gas to Petrol
Non return valves to discharge hoses
Additional labelling

This really P*sses me off. Basically theirs no difference, it just another case of the nanny state!!!

Come the revolution when Im in charge, I will let anybody have any boat they want. If your dumb enough to go out in an unsafe boat you deserve to sink!!!!!!

Why on earth do we need a reduction in the number of persons carried? If anything it should be increased due to the average european weighing considerably less than an american!

You have to remember that being one of the masses you do not have the ability to make a decision for yourself your to stupid! Some one in a suit somewhere will determine how many you can have in your boat

Thing is the US coast guard approved capacity is aways really vague.

My mates 17ft searay has a USCG sticker for 9 people. My 22ft maxum's USCG sticker states 8 people. How's that? My boat is 5ft longer and nearly 2fft wider yet has less capacity! I've had 13 people in it and it wasn't a squeeze or even close to becoming dangerous.

I’ve seen you’re ballast set up, and you are too stupid to know how much weight to put in your boat.
