1996 MC Prostar 205 vs 2001 MC X-10 Wakeboard Edition

I am looking into buying my first wakeboard boat and im wondering which of these would be a better boat for me. I am mainly concerned with which wil provide the best wake for boarding. I researched and found that the prostar has a really good hull and would be a lil cheaper but i cant find much info on the x-10. The x-10 looks nicer and has a lot more room since its v drive. Any help with this decision will be greatly appreciated. Thx Brandon

For wake the 205. For room and comfort x10.

I thought that you always get a better wake from a V-Drive, is this not the case?

Hi Brandon,

Ive got a 96 205 that Im about to put up for sale. Its got the LT1 engine (the best one MC did) its only done about 255 hrs. If your interested PM me.

The 96 on 205 has the same hull as the old xstar, x2, x1 etc. It throws an awesome wake when correctly weighted. The only downside on the direct drive version is you'll have no where to hide the ballast.

The x10 still has a very good wake and is a much more social boat.

What about a 2001 Air Nautique 196? How would it be for boarding? Jw cause found a great deal on one!
