hi all,
this seems to be quite a topic but my question is simple...do you need them?? i brought a mastercraft prostar190 and compared to what we have been using this boat was a god-send but i was wondering if you guys recommend putting a sac in, and if so what to go for. im not great by a long shot but anything that helps must be an advantage? any advise would be much appreciated  many thanks in advance pete |

No you don't need them (not yet anyway)
Get some large water containers (you know what I mean the large chemical containers with handles on the top the ones that they use on campsites) You can probably get them dirt cheap from a farmer or even find some, just keep adding these until you reach the required wakel, it might seem a pain but at least you can take them out easily |

Hi,
Extra weight helps on most boats. We load our boat with a fatsac plus a number of barrels. We have one sac in the rear of the boat. 4 x 25l barrels in front of the fatsac (just behind the engine). 2 x 25l barrels in the bow of the boat. It makes a massive difference if you don't distribute the weight evenly front to back. Try out different combos until you get the best wake at the line length you ride at. We could get more weight in but find the handling starts to suffer if you add too much. Remember that extra weight=more wake=more fuel ![]() |

thanks all for swift reply, im trainspotin this site at the mo cause ive broke me hand so no wakeboarding for me. takeing all me time researching.
so bottom line is fat sacs are better than no sacs  thanks for reply about drums-i know what you mean, i can get 45 gallon drums from farm but space is a big issue on our boat what with fork lift bottles in it as well (runs on gas with no filling stations). so basically more more fuel but more FUN many thanks pete |
