Hi Mark,

I was looking at same boat a couple of years ago, in the end decided prefered the Maxum's, the 1800MX is basically same boat but seemed slightly better quality fittings, but in the end stumped up a bit more for a Maxum 1800SR3.

Compared to XT/MX just a little bit bigger but still easy to tow, swim platform, bigger engine options (I went 4.3), much nicer looking tower, I also went for bench seating layout with walk through to rear and put a high five prop on and a couple of racks.

I paid quite a bit more from new in 2006 but have been very happy with it, but if your looking at a boat 2-3 years old you'd should get one low-mid teens especially this time of year despite what some people are asking and IMO worth that little extra if you can stretch to it.

Must admit I'm now looking at switching to an MC or CC and looking for about £15k if you're interested.

Hi,

Thanks very much for this info, your boat sounds good, but unfortunaltey would just stretch me too much for my budget, unless of course I can sell the Kids, i'll let you know!

You'd be surprised how much you can still get for kidneys on ebay these days.... And also, the average person only needs like 20% of their Liver.

Just something to think about....
