Default Fuel Prices

Just been on a semi rival forum (Team Mastercraft).

The yanks all kicking up a stink because it cost's $100 to fill up the truck and $130 to fill the boat up.

I had to point out that we would all kill for those prices.

Wish we had similar prices, but instead, rip off Britain does it again. like they say FREE TIME....its never free and quickly becoming totally unaffordable!!!!

I wouldn't waste your time talking fuel prices on the yank forums.

Number one they have no idea of what anything costs outside the US (I was working in paris 3 weeks ago and the hotel we were in was 600 euros a night, the yanks thought this was ok as they worked it out to be $200 a night)

Number two according to them we live in a socialist paradise so we can expect to pay more for our fuel to help fund other things.

Personally I no longer subscribe to the "rip off britain" chain of thought anymore. If you look at some of our closest neignbours we don't do that bad.

Default ???????

So does that mean your happy to be paying 70something pence in tax for every litre of fuel??????? Sorry but still not convinced.
Agree we have got it ok, but everything in Britain continually rises, except the wage. Funny how that always falls short of inflation.... however living in a rural location with no decent public transport means fuel costs are crippling before even filling the boat and enjoying the FREE time, hence why 70something pence p****s me off!!! As for other countries, sorry i dont live there what effects me is what happens here, and the cost of fuel is too much! Rant over!!

The price of fuel is one of the main reasons i have decided to sell my boat this season (if anyone is interested in a 1980 barefoot nautique in super condition with a years warranty on the engine, tower, stereo, etc give me a shout).

just wondering why you can buy petrol without the road duty like you can LPG for use in boats, or can you?
