Hi All,
Does anybody know the wiring setup for a electric lift ram that lifts the engine cover on a Vdrive nautique, I managed to pull the 6 wires of the back of the 3 way switch and dont know which way they go back on !!! I have a three way up/middle/down position switch which has 6 terminals on the back. I have a 4 different wires. Pink wire - Has 2 female spade connectors on end - Runs to ignition switch. Black wire - Has 2 female spade connectors on end. orange wire - single female spade connector on end. orange with black stripe - single female spade connector on end. I have tried lots of different variations: I can get it to go up only , down only or up and down for a few seconds before the pink wire starts to smoke!! Any ideas?? Is there any markings on the switch at all?
The black with be ground (thus running to your battery neg post). The pink wire will likely be an accessory wire, to tell it to only work when you have the key in the acc position or on. orange wires sound like power to me. one to power the ram up, one to power the ram down. Not sure if that helps at all though... you probably have already worked that out. |
