Default Upgrading from an outboard boat

Hi

Bit of a newbie question here, we are a pair of 41yr olds (apologies Ian), who are struggling to board behind a 17ft outboard with 115hp engine. We are using a monkey bar and are just about doing wake 2 wakes (with the help of some concrete blocks).

My question is that we are going to upgrade and have limited funds.

Top budget is £15K for a fully loaded boat ready to go (tower, ballast, p-pass, bow rider, LPG).

We are currently looking at the following boats.

Nautique 196 yr 2001, (the only neg is that it is a 196) and therefore the wake may not be that great, but it has p-pass, tower, no LPG, 600 hrs, price 10K

X Star 1997, direct drive, £17K, 700 hrs

Air Nautique 1998 (not the 196 version), £13K, tower, no p-pass, no LPG, 800 hrs

2003 X5, seems ok approx £17K but is on ebay.

What we really want is an X2 or X1 (v drive), but all of these or £20K plus, and we are just looking for something to progress to before we are no longer capable.

Any useful ideas/suggestions would be cool.

James
