Default New Wakeboard Tower designs....

Hey Guys,

There's some really great, knowledgeable people on here and I'd really like to bounce some ideas of you if possible?

We are designing our 2009 in-house line of universal wakeboard towers at the moment and before we get too firm on the direction to take I wanted to here what your preferences are?

Anyone want to throw out some lists of what's important to you (colour options, anodising, fold-down ability etc etc etc), what isn't that important and what you'd really love to see in a tower? Also, what's a reasonable price? Would you rather pay £500 for something well engineered, good for salt water but otherwise basic or £1100 for something all singing all dancing that really looks the dogs danglies. We try and keep everything as tightly priced as possible but some of the designs we're coming out with could end up being cost-prohibitive (LOTS of machining!), whilst some are very simple and could be pumped out for sub £500.00

Any thoughts people?

Really appreciate any feedback - good or bad!

Mike

Ive got quite a few rants about towers!

Id love to see a copy of the Malibu illusion x tower, but the racks positioned better so the line doesn’t catch in them when your turning around.

I dont reckon folding is of any use in this country as most of our garages are too small anyway. We don’t have the folding trailers like the yanks.

Stainless steal would be nice option if your a costal wake boarder, but if your a fresh water user is the extra expense worth while for SS??

Lastly, if your using a short line. I have never seen anything that tidy’s up the extra unused bit of the line properly. Its always flapping about or bodged onto the tower. Not a problem if youve got the bimmi up as it sits on top of it, but otherwise it usually ends up hanging in the centre of the boat.

Actually one more, a bimmi which can be left up when you put the boat cover on and that attaches to the tower not the boat. (in fact have you got one of those for my boat? )

Nice thinking Caios, all taken on board.. I am particularly fond of the rope-tidy idea....

I can do you a MasterCraft official Bimini for £495. It integrates with your tower and shouldn't need to be attached to the deck at all. I'd PM 'DH Bennison' on here for some honest feedback on them - he just had one off me. Delivery is about 4-6 weeks.

Any other thoughts people?

Hi mike,
I'm a director of a welding and fabrication firm based in essex, if you need any help with the manufacturing side of things let me know, it would be a project we'd love to get involved in.

All we would need is scaled drawings of designs and we can give you some quotes.

Regards,
Aaron
