mc -prostar 197

hi .. i posted this in the mc forum but got no answers?? does anyone have a clue what the prostar 197 is like for boarding yr 2004? .. my mates got an eye on one, but dont know what the wakes are like . its got a pump+fat sac which seems to be standard? is the hull similar to any others? sorry for being a bore .but would love to know .. thanks

Anyhow the 197 is a compromise boat. Its a great slalom boat, a good barefoot boat and an average wakeboard boat. If your a skier who occasionally straps on a board then its one of the best boats out there.
If your a hardcore boarder they are far better options, especially at the type of money a 197 would go for.

The wake on the 197 is wide and rampy like most mastercrafts but not that big. If you want to sac it out to increase the wake size you'll stuggle as being a direct drive and having a low freeboard it doesn't lend itself well to ballast upgrades.

All that said I do really like the lines of the 197 and with the x7 package it looks even better.
