Default How to weight down a boat properly

I'm trying to determine the right way to weight down my 89 supra Comp TS6M. I'm going to use a fat sac, or multiple sacs if I need them. I've read about people using iron weights, but I don't want to do that as some of my boat buddies like to slalom so I need to be able to take the weight out easily.

My dealer in town said to put 50% of the weight up front and 50% in the back. Other people said use side sacks or just the rear sac. Please let me know the right way to do this.

thanks.

If you were not such a Dumbass you would see that if you have people in the boat you could makwe them sit in the back and make a huge wake to jump.

Well since most of the time I have just a driver and a spotter, that leaves only 1 person to sit in the back, not multiple people that would help the boat throw a big wake. 8)

every boat performs differently, one way may work for your boat and not for another. trial and error works best. go out and play with the positioning and see what work best

I have an '87 Supra. I have been using a fat sac that holds 600 pounds. I place it in the back. I usually only have 3 people in the boat. It seems to work well. Let me know what you have been doing.

July's wakeboarding magazine (http://www.wakeboardingmag.com) has an article about it.

basically a 60% rear/40% front is a good starting point

try 2 large fat sacks laid either side of the engine cover.

Hope that helps,
