Been to Cirencester cable this morning for the first time,to check out the British cable team trials ( did not ride. no category for over 40+) but have to say what a great cable, all the riders loved it it's really floaty, and quite a few toys in the water.Really good atmosphere, good food and friendly staff.I will be going back there for sure. If you get the chance its well worth the trip down the m4.
Thanks Guys Nick C |

There was a category in the boat nationals last year for over 40 s but nobody entered, I thought about it but there s no glory in coming 1st out of one.Truth is ive got 15 years on the youngest masters at 30 and thats a lot of wear and tear. I am thinking of doing Richies and bens raley clinic at cirencester next weekend, so if you want to see some silly old b*#*#rd nailing himself this is your chance..

Masters is now over 35, year of birth before 1976. There are a few of us that are close to or over 40 but you are right theres not enough. But saying that alot of people do not enter as they feel they are not good enough. The more people enter the better for the sport in the eyes of potential sponsors and to increase awareness. I felt a little disappointed to hear so many riders saying that they would not enter as they knew they couldnt win!!!. Is it all about winning?? Isnt it about taking part, increasing he numbers, I guarantee that if one or two who werent top drawer entered then a whole lot more would too....
