Default Kicker fun

After only having been on the cable about 4 times, i decided to go for the kicker at sheffield tonight.... cool!!! I had about 5 shots at it. The first was an expected fail after cutting too early, the second, much the same. The 3rd was better, only i must have crunched my knees up too much when i landed and winded myself, letting go of the handle. The 4th was spot on really, but a split second after i landed, i let go of the handle due to fear of falling! It was the last one that was the most fun, cut too late, knew it was bad when i hit it, went upside down and seemed to land on every part of my body pretty hard! I gotta say though that i quite enjoyed that last one!! And my first ever (totally accidental) invert! I'm exctatic right now which is why im sharing it with you (mainly because of total lack of friends who would find this remotely interesting )

My only complaint is the extremely poor weather (JULY FFS!!!)

My back and neck however are killing me, and i did this only hours ago... tomorrow on the boat should be fun, not to mention Sunday with my 2 sets at Ten80 (and then heading straight to sheff to launch myself off the kicker again!) (oh and then i go to spain for a week!)

nice one

i hit my first kicker at cotswold on wednesday night, nearly landed 2 jumps but droped the handle on landing. only trouble now is a lot of walking back to the dock, jump start - hard heelside edge - kicker - faceplant - walk back

next week i will ride away from a jump and then its on to the sliders

well done you too! Lets just hold on to that handle next time haha.

Sheff's kicker is well placed in the 'walking back to shore' respect. Its a short swim straight back to the dock where you can get straight back on again.

If i end up going again today i may have to leave the kicker alone because my back is feeling worse than i want it to. But then, i really really want to go on it! If i hurt my back even more, im off to spain for a week after this weekend so i can do some major rest and recover it.

hope ya back's feeling better cause i bet you wont be able to ride past that kicker without a massive urge to edge out and fly

i cant wait till next wednesday to get back out on it again. but i think i need a better impact vest now instead of my old kayaking one.

still, no pain - no gain

I dont think ive damaged it, i think its just protesting against me using it in that fashion! Well its unlucky really and its just going to have to get used to it cos im gonna own that kicker

Have my 2 sets at ten80 in the morning so i'll see how it feels then (2 ibruprofen are going to have to help too methinks)
