Was that recently? Not having the ballast tanks full?

I know that the water in the lake dropped about 1 1/2 feet and we went through 2 props as the boat ground out by the jetty.

Last time I rode the ballast was back in, but I know what you mean about the 10 minute tow thing - massive bone of contention for us wakeboarders at the lake.

Its ok if you get there first thing, or really late and get 2 tows one after the other. Otherwise in summer its wait for an hour or 2 for a 10 min tow... not ideal

But at £6.5 a tow for a member you can't complain!

I know what you mean about withdrawal symptoms, I'm new to the sport this season and already addicted! Don't really want to stop even though it's getting colder by the week.

If you don't mind a bit of a ride they're still riding at Oxford during the weekends.
Oxford Wakeboard & Ski Club

Or if you don't mind the cable try Milton Keynes, they open until the week before Christmas (weekends).

I was looking at a trip to Cab wake later this year - sounds great! Too late now as I'm going snowboarding instead. When you get back please let us know what you think and is it worth a trip next year? Has anybody else been?

As long as MK don't shut for 2+ months like they did last year!! Annoying when you've paid your membership upfront...

I think they're closing for about 6 weeks. Membership is quite expensive though - you do need to go alot to make worth it.

hey guys

bummer about your injury Kirky...a friend of mine had the same operation last year and is not a happy bunny....loads of physio and grim determination needed...but fingers crossed you'll be riding again in no time!

Be great to hear if you do get a boat - can definately offer a generous contribution of petrol money and beer!

shame to hear about James & Poole Wakeboarding - I tried to contact him loads in the summer to arrange a tow but he never had his diary with him so could never actually get anything booked!

I've been going up to the New Forest Water Park a lot this year but they charge an astromonical £25 per 15 mins...a nightmare when my speciality is faceplanting and I spend most of it swimming, seeing stars and avoiding the monster carp! I did manage Ellingham once but as a non member the wait was ridiculous - the tip on membership is a good one for next year...but I can't wait till March...argh...this winter is going to be a long one!

Tried the cable at Princes a few times - but I just couldn't seem to crack the pontoon start...jump start behind the boat no worries - on the cable - not so!!!! Hugely entertained the crowds for a while though! Seems like Oxford and Milton Keynes etc are worth a try.

9 days now till cabwake...can't wait...will definately report back to u guys...
