Somewhere before i read the last few replies of this thread i developed 'i want it now' syndrome and ordered it from the US....

it did get me thinking though. I have searched for reviews of impact vests and the like, and although i did find a few on wakeside.com, i kinda wanted more. Would it be a good idea to start a thread on what kind of vest you own, its pro's and cons etc, basically review your own vest! It would have helped me somewhat, and i guess there are others (like me) who have spent hours searching for the right one. Good idea, or not worth the trouble?

Maybe we should ask Jeremy to start a product review thread in the forum.

i'll back that idea up. I am a bit of a review junkie, and i like to know what other people think before i buy something. There is a good site for wakeboard reviews (forgot where that is now though - but i did review my own wakeboard as no one else had) but i'd love to read some reviews on the bindings im getting but found nothing whatsoever.

I had a chat recently with one of the girls that works at the Princes shop. It was with regards to an O'Neill womens vest, which was coming out.

Apparently some research with regards to continuous impact to the chest area and the damages it could do, moved O'Neill to design a vest to combat this. This vest has extra padding around the chest area.

Has anyone heard of them, seen them or tried them?

I think it's the O'Neill Ladies Vapour vest 2007. It has smaller armholes and extra padding around the side of the chest area - designed to prevent injury to those delicate girly bits!
