Default A nice restaurant???

I will be in windermere for my girlfriends birthday, can anyone recomend a good restaurant in the area which will have some good vegitarian food (no fish)??? Needs to be nice and romantic!

I can recomend the Swan Hotel, its not in Windermere Town but it is on Windermere Lake.

i don't think any of the restaurants here really do vegetarianism in a big way-Jericho's in Windermere or the Thai in Bowness or Jacksons in Bowness would prob be best. Have a feast eat a beast thats our motto!

cheers dude, i will look into them!

Also, can anyone recomend any nice "romantic" places to go/things to do? apart from walking? I did suggest boarding to her, and dispite the fact she is a boarder too, she did not seem to impressed! Any ideas? Any local secrets?

you could take her to Wordsworths gaff or Beatrix Potters for that matter, it depends what her idea of romance is, personally knitting needles and eyes spring to mind. bring mountain bikes and a bunch of flowers-but don't use the flowers unless she falls off. buy chicks flowers and they want them all the time!! only joking girls.

yeah, think the whole bertrix potter stuff might be lost on her, as she is french, i don't think it is as much as an intregral part of youth over there! Wordsworth... eh, she might like it, but i might ask to borrow your knitting needles!

Hopefully the weather is nice, then i can convince her to go boarding... don't know why she is so against it... she has a Physco II now, it is not as though she would be freezing!!!!
