northernmonkey, pat sharples is the guy who has designed all the rails, and head of the british freeski team. the rails have arrived at the place but ive not seen them yet. they want to have some set up all the time, the slope is wide enough to do that grand opening on the 16th btw .

Think once its open there will have to be a mass northern wakechat users meeting on the slope. Since its now winter and not that much riding to be had, especially on these long dark nights.

Right, ive seen all the rails, and ridden 2 of them. We have 2 flat rails, a curvy up-down-up rail and a C-rail. The kicker/s are built on a friday in the day time, and everything is mostly in then but you cant ride untill sat night. Lean a lot more forward than you'd normally expect to have to do on the landing of the kicker, as most of the time, its got quite a kick to the lip.
Saturday is freestyle night, not sure on the times of what time it starts but the slope shuts at 11pm. bring goggles just incase the snow cannon things come on at night, as you cannot see a thing half way down.
I should hopefully be there on saturday so if anyone does fancy coming down let me know.
