Regarding the comment:
"I get the impression MC dealers are not to keen on the X1 as it kinda makes it harder to sell the more expensive models (cos the X1 is so good)." - The last time I saw Simon Waring he was actively promoting the X1. On Mastercraft's own website there's an article about the Stu and Will coaching days which states: "When we arrived all the riders were already there waiting for us, the weather was kinder than recently and we were looking forward to showing off a great a boat the often forgotten X-1 really is. This boat, as designs go as been there, done it and worn the t-shirt. Finding fame as the X-Star from the year 1999 – 2003, then latterly till 2006 as the X-2, spending 2 days in this boat made me realize just how good a boat it is. With a bargain price of under £ 40,000 with a decent spec it really is a great buy. However with production slots only available from August to September it is a boat that orders must be in early for!!" |

I can tell you boys have not spent any time in a X2, they are worth every penny.
I used to have a old X-Star (now called X1) and converted to the X2 - 2 seasons ago, it is the dog b******s, there is loads more room inside it the compartments are huge as the tanks are down in the hull not on the side like the X1 so you can get loads of wakeboard, wakesurfer, ski's and gear in there it's room a plenty. The deeper V hull means if you ever go in the sea it will cut through the waves. We went to Southhampton for a week and got caught out in some bad weather and just blasted through the waves, coming back in the X1 we would have been ringing the coast guard. Until you have owned one you won't know what I mean but I say spend the extra |

The wake is supposed to be really good, and I know a few people that put it above the wake of the X2, but behind an x-star ![]() Has anyone see one of the CSX boats by Mastercraft?? One of their saltwater series, odd looking thing, but apparently quite a decent wake to ride!

Chichester - what spec spec did you go for and did you get a deal on RRP? Did you consider anything else and if so why the X1.
Been looking at 2nd hand Nautique 210, great boat, but X1 seems very similar and for not too much more (depending on spec) I can get a new boat just how I want, looks very tempting. |

pretty much as the brochure tower swivel racks, heater, bimini top, cover, mcx engine upgrade, kgb ballast system, swivel drivers seat, perfect pass, trailer.
note sure about price, not my department but 30Kish +vat some of us here that thought of nothing else. We looked at all sorts, but in the end we went with (Quay marine, poole ?) as they've helped us out with some loan boats for events in the past.
