The X2 is the better boarding boat hands down. It was the original X star and now re-badged as the X1.

The iRide is really a slalom boat with the addition of a wakeboard package, a good boat but nothing special for wakeboarding - you'd be better to find a VRide, which was based on the last Malibu VLX hull - a well proven hull.

I'm a big Malibu fan and am aware of some really exciting new products coming out from them but in honesty I couldn't recommend an iRide for boarding - it's just not the right boat. Whereas the 205v (X2) is incredible and is hard to beat in the 20ft catagory, only boat that comes close is the previous Super Air Nautique 210 (Of which I owned a 2005) - This may be a boat worth investigating if you can find a tidy one.

    Regards,

    Mike
