Default Starting on a cable......

Ok, I've been knee boarding a couple of times and loved it. Now I'm gunna go for wakeboarding and have got a boat booked in a weeks time.

However, I have got the opportunity to try and wakeboard before this on a cableski.

Has anyone got any advice, i.e. forget trying to learn from scratch on a cableski and just wait for the boat, or give the cableski a try??

I have seen sooo many people get despondent trying to learn on a cable, cos the learning curve is so steep.

Any advice would be very welcome to a complete newbie like me..... :?

i'm new to all this stuff and up until about a week ago had never been on a cable before - always been behind my boat. have to say i am not sure what all the fuss is about. got up first time on the cable and once i got the hang of the corners it was fine. the water is much flatter of course so it is a good place to learn some tricks, moves, etc.

i am getting back behind a boat again this coming weekend so will see if it has helped of hindered me....

the only problem i could *potentially* see is that it is easy to get up on the cable and when you get behind a boat it might take a while to learn getting up again as it is a completely different pull but what the hell go for it!

remember though i am a newbie too so others might have better advice.

enjoy
