Default A couple q's about getting a board

I am new to wakeboarding, but have been skiing for a long time. I have gone wakeboarding a couple of times, and am thinking about getting a board. the first most obvious question is what size do i need. i have been looking in the archives, and online, but i am not sure. I am 6'4, 220, and am looking for a board that i can grow into. i don't mean size wise because i am 19 and done growing, i mean skill wise. what do u suggest. secondly, i am looking for suggestions on what type of board to get. i am trying not to spend too much, and was considering a used board possibly. where would u suggest i look for a used board, or where could i find a good well priced new board and bindings. also i wear about a size 13, so would i probably be looking at L/XL bindings? i live in seattle right now, but am gonna be going back to college in cali here pretty soon. anyone around seattle, or even better federal way know of any places i should look. i am thinking about running to wiley's and checking what they have, but i figure i should know what i am looking for first. thanx alot.

the store will help you find a board that fits you. rather than going in and telling them what you think you need. a reputable shop will sell the best board for your ability. every board has a different shape and every manufacturer has a different suggestion for their boards, itsnot an exact science. while shopping remember the boardsyou like and then check their web site and see if you fit into that size board. be realistic when buying a board, buy good bindings, and you dont have to go off and buy the most expensive pro board

a really good place to look for new and used wakeboards/bindings is ebay. I just bought a 2003 Hyperlite Parks 133 biolite that was brand new for $300 when the retail is like $430 and i also bought some liquid force EXO's that were brand new for $170 when the retail is around $300. If I were you i would go talk to a guy at your board shop and then look on ebay.
