AIRWAKE its a plate that comes as standard on some boats, its normally an upside down hydrofoil is the best way to describe it, anyway when you put it down it has the same affect on the wake as putting more weight in the boat.
wake-ripper-trick charging at the wake without good technique is not how to get air, you need a progressive edge, there are also loads of threads on here about getting air, like boarditup says some coaching from someone who knows what there doing will get you boarding much better in less time |

This past summer I used my little brothers friends board, which was a 135 I believe? Well, anyways I noticed a huge difference with that board, I was able to cut really sharp and get a lot of speed... then when i started using my board again, when i would cut hard, and really dig into the edge the board would slide out from beneath me and I would fall just cutting. When I made it to the wake doing small cuts I didn't get any air, so I concluded my problem jumping is the result of my giant board.

first you need to gain speed (the quiker the beter). aproach the wake in a crouched postion, and when you reach the wake strech your legs. keep your legs streched in the air and when you r about to land put your legs in a normal position.
if you dont have a boat that doesnt make a big wake put the engine a bit higher than normal, that should make the trick. ![]() |
