Default Help Me Pick Out a Board!

Hi, I am completely new to wakeboarding (aka I've never been on one in my life). My grandfather just bought a beach house with a little boat that me & my siblings can wakeboard on, so I need a relatively inexpensive beginner wakeboard that girls & guys who are between 110 and 150 lbs and 5'0"-5'7" will be able to use. We'll be wakeboarding in a bay/ocean, so the water will probably be rough. Does anyone have any recommendations for a board and bindings? I'm completely clueless, so I have no idea what size or shape to get. Thanks!

For a beggining board... I would suggest the Hyperlite Movement. Thats the board that I have, its really good for begginers, i bought the board with vario bindings, and they are really comfy. The problem with getting a board for you guys, is the weight difference. My board is too big for me... but its a smooth ride, and i think it was only like 250$ including the bindings.

I am a dealer and have some leftover stock in your size, depending upon your budget.

In general, you want a continious rocker of about 2-2.5", rounded ends, on fin on each end, with good bindings. Most beginners want very loose bindings. You actually need tigher, supportive bindings. I suggest a multi-size lace up to get going. Once you get a bit better, go with some really supportive bindings.

As for pricing - about $150 is the bargain basement. $300 is the going rate. $500 will be a premium beginner board.
