We have tryed and tryed to get him up deep water with no joy, now when we do let him ride we put in a pair of ski's and make him go on them when he falls.

Boarding without your own boat. Most of the clubs around the country have a pay to ride set up. Phone your local club and see what they have to offer. Failing that it will be a case of hooking up with a boat owner and paying towards the fuel etc.

What area are you from Ralph ?

check out middlemoor, they're not far south from you, the setups ok and the owners are cool http://www.middlemoor.co.uk/ there a bit in the middle of no where, but i stayed there for two days and had a ball. they have a mastercraft there with a tower. no wakeboard coach as such, but they will get you up and going.

Sorry for my delay in posting how i got on!!!!!

Well i booked myself onto a lesson at Middlemoor - went out with the bar first got on with that really well and felt comfortable getting up and out the water. Then switched over to the rope!!!!! OMG how different was that!!!! I didn't get on with the rope at all just couldn't get up ending up drowning myself with all the water coming over the board!!!!

So i went home aching and thinking should i give it another go????

Well i did - i accompanied my mum to Middlemoor who had a waterski lesson booked this sat just gone. We arrived at 9am the lake was like glass and i thought sod it!!!! So i geared up and had a chat with Steve and told him what my probs were with the rope last time. He gave me a couple of tips and off we went. out in the mastercraft this time with the tower - whether this made any difference i am not sure BUT i was away!!!!! First to attempts found me throwing my head back which wasn't helping so tucked my head forwards and that was it third attempt and i was up and cruising.

How good does it feel when your up and cruising!!! 8O  8) :? :P  its like all those smilies at once. I felt so good and felt i had acheived summat. So did four laps round without stacking it and left a VERY happy camper!!!!!

So i am now hooked and want to ride more more more - booked in for another couple of sessions behind the boat this sat am just to get some more time out on the water before winter closes in.

So thanks guys i am well and truly hooked now, can't afford my own boat but thinking about buying a decent sized jetski so that i can go out with my bud who can drive and i can board!!!

Ralph
