Foot postions? For newbie's

Ok Heres what I know and it ain't much, When I first started boarding I had my feet postion both turned a little outward, now there more at a right angle from the back of the board. Should my front foot be turned more facing the boat or does it matter?

Try the jumping of a chair trick, where your feet land, this should be your natural stance.
