If there's an X2 there and its a family friend of your lucky girlfriend then I'm sure there will be a board you can borrow. That way you can forget buying a board bag and spend the money on drugs like normal students do.

   That’s one of the three Rs on the national student agenda
1, Recreational Drugs
2, Recreational Alcohol
3, Recreational Sex
What else would you become a student for?

What bag do you have neb?

And does anyone knwo any descent place to get one from (good price)?
my bag came free with my board, its a north shore bag but i think its more of a generic shape that companies put their logo on because its the same as the bag that o'shea do. just make sure it has some padding and room for you bindings, which most bags do. you can go really fancy and get a travel bag with wheels

Dogpoo : bah, i have been a student for, well this is my 6th year, so i am well aware of the student lifestyle The reason i want a case/bag is because i want to take my own board (as it is new)! but i could just rent one!

Neb - Thanks for the advice, wheels sound awesome!!!! Hmmm time to attack ebay!

its pretty simple, just buy a team bag or look for one with slightly better insulation or if in doubt look at the price. Aim for one thats around the 80 pound mark, even then if its not great I'd recommend getting some duct tape and taping the outside edges of the board bag for extra protection. The of course the obligatory "FRAGILE" sticker altho in some cases this makes the baggage handlers boot it around like a football...
