Question Switch

Right here's a question for you all, i've only been riding a board for 2 weeks (on a kneeboard before) riding on cable tow at Nottingham/Sheffield and i'm having problems getting round the turns, i ride LFF and need to switch to RFF/goofy. Tried it a few times but have either ended up doing a face plant (TS edge) or flat on my back. Anybody any pointers please ?????? Nottingham shuts down on sunday and i want to do at least 1 on the 2 sessions i have left booked on there.
