I am a rookie boarder and looking for a good USCG approved neoprene vest.
I like the Baller series and the Comp. series models, but I dont think they are USCGA. Would I be making a mistake by purchasing the non-USCGA vest? |

i have never seen anybody rock a baller series vest in the uk. you might be able to get hold of 1 but i wouldnt get your hopes up. i ride the vapor comp vest by oneill and tht is not uscga, it gives me all the floatation i need, even after a bad crash when you cant be botherd movin when in pain. or is tht just me???

there is a post a little way back about this. i think . dont quote me that when wake boarding you need a jacket that doesnt just stop when you hit the water you need to go under and come back up so coastguard approved jackets are not right. as you impact hard on the water. i think sim posted the explanation so maybe look back on sims postings.it makes sense.

I think the O’Neil 'Law' vest is coast guard approved or at lest the name would suggest so. It is quite bulky though, and it is has a zip and buckles I think so is more of a jacket but looks a bit like a fat outlaw vest.
