Forget the glasses i wear contacts all the time on the cable and i have no problems . and i hit the water quite regularly. Your likely to hurt your face when you hit the water with glasses or goggles on... Good luck

I always wear my contacts and have never lost one yet, even in the worst face plants - of which there have been many!!!

Incidentally, I wear the little hard lenses. I think there is even less risk of losing the soft ones.

I don't think I'd wear sunglasses when boarding, even if they do float. Face plant + Sunglasses = Pain.

I use disposeable daily contacts, always work fine. I've had one or two pushed up and around the back of the eyeball by faceplants but never actually lost them. Bought my latest batch from Costco as they had a good deal on.
