Default Riding Switch,

Alright guys, i have been boarding for about 4months now! i can do a few tricks, i have just mastered how to do an ollie 180, i can ride switch until i get to the corner and then stack (i managed 1st 2corners at cirencester @wknd) i try and switch back but i always end up decking.

i seem to switch back but can only manage 2get 90 dagrees round then end up leaning too far backwards and sliding heelside for about 3meters until i fall on my arse!

Anyone got any tips on how to switch back succesfuly? would be really appreicated

Cheers
Grant

Practice and it will come. Try to pull the handle with your trailing arm to your trailing hip(which will become your leading leg) when you switch back.

as dogpoo says practise and it will come. the cable forced me to ride switch and
now i'm stronger fakie on certain things.
weird.
it also helps for other board sports..
try an ollie one 80 back rather than a surface one.
and push with that leg and the handle to the opposite hip..
good luck dude.

practise switch and back in front of the dock as theres less to walk.. or try it at the last two corners.. and its amusing for onlookers...

Keep the handle pushed down, with your ankles flexed forward and your head up. That should keep your weight over the dead centre of the board.

Try not to try to hard, i had some coaching and was told to relax my feet with the handle at your front hip then move the handle to the back hip, staying close in the whole time and the board will naturally swing either into or out of switch.

I didn't believe it would be this easy but it seriously is, previously i had been trying too hard, tensing up and catching an edge.
